For the last few days I have been walking around in a haze of pollen. It is everywhere! I actually hosed my car off yesterday morning, and by 5pm when I got home from work, it was completely coated again! So I dutifully sprayed my car off yet again…this morning you can take a guess as to what color my white car had turned. UGH bright yellow. Along with the frustration of having EVERYthing covered in yellow pollen, it has really done a number on my sinuses. I sound like Edith Ann, and trust me that is NOT attractive.
I stopped by the grocery store this morning and snagged some Zyrtec which I’ve hear does wonders…I’m keeping my fingers crossed. This evening i’ve also decided that “hot-as-fire” korean food will do the trick to open up those clogged sinuses.
It will be tasty none the less!!
I feel like my life is that Bill Murry movie Groundhog Day. The same routine, with a few slight variations. Yesterday, I went home around 5:30 only to get a email requesting some work due first thing in the morning. So I huff and puffed, and came back to the office around 6:30 for another hour and a half of work. BOO!
In all truth, I prob. could have gotten everything accomplished this morning at 7:30, but I really didn’t want to be rushed or stressed out, so it all ended up working out, and I even got to take my pup on a long walk around my neighborhood! So ready for the weekend and vegging out!

Lately, here in my neck of the woods the weather has taken a much appreciated turn for the better. The temps are in the upper 60s, and we actually hit 70 one day. Spring “fever” has sprung!
In honor of this, I have decided that this weekend will be dedicated to SRPING CLEANING. I live in a small apartment, so I think I can get everything accomplished in two days. Hopefully I can also get rid of some things and give myself some extra space. I really want to have everything fresh and (more importantly) organized for spring. My spring cleaning rituals include moving all furniture to the center of the room and cleaning floorboards. Empting of all draws/cabinets and cleaning out all the things I never use. Cleaning all ceiling fans (which is one of my least favorite things to do). I may even be brave and switch out some of my heavy winter clothes for more “springy” things. I’m going to get a few extra heavy duty cleaning supplies tonight.
Needless to say, its another fun exciting weekend planned for me. At some point I will probably take a cleaning break to go see the new movie Remember Me. So that will be fun. I’ve been really looking forward to seeing it. Ready, Set, CLEAN!

Not ideal, but with all the technical difficulties I’ve been having ( turns out it’s my wireless connection on my laptop) it’s necessary. I really do not want to shell out tons of $$$ for a new laptop. So this weekend, while maintaining a clam, relaxed deminer I’m going to give another shot. Fingers crossed!!!!!
I’ve been having internet connection issues at home, where I do most of my blogging. Hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow! After a few days of being super busy ( friends birthday, work promotion, etc etc) i’m really starting to miss my boring life. Looking forward to a weekend of being lazy and watching movies. Stay Tuned!

It has been one of those weekends that you never want to end. Not that I did anything special, but it was just beautiful weather, I accomplished all of my chores and took my pup on a long walk and soaked in as much sun as I possibly could. Now, as the dreaded Monday morning approaches I am immersing myself fully in the Scarlett O’Hara perspective…”I’ll think about that tomorrow”.
Wahooo. Friday is even more sweet when you’ve worked hard all week! I woke up to mr. weatherman giving me the best present ever…sunshine all weekend, and even slightly above normal temperatures. I’ll take whatever I can get. You couldn’t smack the smile off my face today.
At work we are also having a retirement lunch for a lady who has been with the company for 30+ years. You really don’t see that very often anymore, and while we are sad not to have her here everyday (she’s like the momma hen of the office) we are so happy for her. I know she feels really special, there are little notes with kind words posted all over the office, and they are getting our training conference center all decorated for her luncheon as we speak.
All that’s on the agenda for today, is of course the party, and wrapping up a few loose ends with some smaller projects I’ve been working on, so I will have plenty of time to plan my attack on the weekend. Mission…soak up as much sunshine as possible. Who knows when we will see it again.

Today while enjoying my Kung Pao Spicy Chicken from Pei Wei, I realized that I have eaten in restaurants, or gotten take out every day this week. This is not normal for me. But I do eat out quite a bit. For a single gal it’s really not that expensive. And a lot of the times, when I try to cook, I buy too much leading to cooking way too much and then I’m left with the dreaded leftover container. By the second day of leftover, I’m usually totally sick of it and can hardly stand to toss it into the garbage. So really, dining out or grabbing take out actually cost just about the same in the long run and is much more time efficient. Not to mention my kitchen stay A LOT cleaner! J
Like I said, normally I don’t eat out everyday. I’m a big fan of soups, pasta, sandwiches/wraps, cereal, and yogurt concoctions which are easy to fix at home.
While thinking about all of this, I thought about what actually was in my fridge. I thought it would be a good time to document “the single gal’s fridge”. Hey, they do it on MTV Cribs so it must be acceptable to show the contents of your refrigerator. (or lack there of in my case)
Pretty sad.
Granted I haven’t been to the grocery store all week. I’m hoping to hold off until this weekend. If I keep grabbing take out, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Hahaha jk
